Overview
When reviewing and selecting quotes, you may notice some experts have a Verified by Featured check associated with their name.
This check is one of a few different tools available to publishers to help with the quote selection process.
What does Verified by Featured mean?
The Verified by Featured check indicates that an expert has had their expert profile (aka their identity) verified by our platform.
To confirm an expert's identity and make sure everything lines up, we run a few smart checks - this includes checking an expert's name, email, company, LinkedIn, and headshot. If everything checks out, they are then verified.
Using the Verified check and accessing the filter
It's up to you, as the journalist or publisher, to determine if you only wish to select quotes from experts with the Verified by Featured check.
If you do have concerns about selecting responses from experts who haven't been verified, you are able to apply the Show Verified Profiles filter to hide all responses from experts without a check.
If you are OK with selecting insights from experts who have not yet verified their profile, then feel free not to use the filter! You will always be able to visit an expert's LinkedIn, company website, or their Featured Expert Page if you wish to learn more about them or do your own verification.
Profile verification is new to Featured! As more and more users complete the verification process, the more beneficial this filter will become.

Does every expert on Featured have to complete profile verification?
Does every expert on Featured have to complete profile verification?
No! While we encourage all users to attempt to verify their profile, it is an aspirational thing. This means some folks may not qualify. For example, we require users to have a company email address in their own name.
For example, if they attempt to complete verification with an [email protected] email address, they won't be able to complete the verification process.
