Overview

When reviewing and selecting quotes, you may notice some experts have an Automated tag associated with their response.

This tag is one of a few different tools available to publishers to help with the quote selection process.

What does Automated mean?

The Automated tag is associated with expert profiles that have patterns of using automation tools to submit to the Featured platform.

The Automated tool does not indicate the use of generative AI. It simply tags experts who are likely to submit using automation tools (think workflow apps or agents).

You'll see a range of AI Likelihood scores associated with responses from experts who have the Automated tag

Using the Automated tag and accessing the filter

It's up to you, as the journalist or publisher, to determine if the Automated tag is a tool you wish to use to help with the quote selection process.

If you do have concerns about selecting responses with this tag, you are able to apply the Hide Automated Experts filter to hide all responses with this tag.

If you are OK with experts submitting insights to your queries via a workflow or agent tool, then feel free to go ahead and select responses with this tag!

Every filter provided on Featured is simply there to help improve the quote selection process, and has been created based on various editorial concerns or needs publishers have shared with us that they want to consider when using sourcing and using expert insights.

FAQs

Will I or the expert be negatively impacted in any way due to this tag?

No! There is no negative impact on the expert if their profile is associated with the Automated tag, and there is no negative impact on the publisher for selecting or for not selecting quotes with the tag.

Is the Automated tag permanent?

Nope! This tag is based on historical information and patterns, so if an expert stops using automation to submit, the tag will drop.
