Overview
Featured is now using Domain Authority from Moz instead of Domain Rating from Ahrefs. Both are 100-point scale metrics that help you evaluate the SEO strength of a website, but Moz offers better scalability and real-time updates.
Why we’re making the change
As our platform scaled to include over 1,000 publications, our team could no longer manually update Domain Ratings. We needed an automated solution.
Ahrefs API requires a $15,000/year Enterprise Plan
Moz API is pay-as-you-go, affordable, and easy to scale
Switching to Moz ensures we can keep Featured accessible while offering reliable SEO data.
What is Domain Authority?
Domain Authority (DA) is a Moz metric that predicts how likely a website is to rank in search engine results. Like Ahrefs’ Domain Rating, it’s measured on a 100-point scale.
You’ll now see Domain Authority next to each publication on Featured when evaluating opportunities.
What this means for you
You’ll still see a 100-point SEO metric for every publication—just sourced from Moz, not Ahrefs
Data will now be updated automatically, ensuring accuracy over time
Moz integration opens the door for new metrics like Brand Authority in the future
